International students in the Czech Republic are most satisfied at Masaryk University

StudyPortals organization issues certificates of satisfaction based on the evaluations of thousands of students.

Each year, the StudyPortals organization issues certificates of satisfaction with studies at European universities based on the evaluations of thousands of students participating in a short-term study visit abroad. In the Czech Republic, Masaryk University took the first place this year followed by the Czech Technical University in Prague and the University of Economics, Prague. Masaryk University repeated its success from 2013. Czech Republic as a whole ranked 9th out of the 18 rated countries.

“Internationalization is one of the long-term priorities of Masaryk University. We have entered into hundreds of partnership agreements with universities in Europe as well as in other parts of the world and we keep expanding the offer of studies in English for exchange students and also for students who decided to earn their degree here,” said Ivan Malý, Vice-Rector for External Relations.

Just the Erasmus+ programme brought 462 students from all over Europe, mostly from Poland, Spain and France to Masaryk University in the 2014/2015 academic year. At the same time, there are 1,806 students in foreign-language programmes at Masaryk University, mostly at the Faculty of Medicine. The total number of international students at Masaryk University is 8,300; most of them are Slovaks who study in Czech study programmes.
